The summer is hot, but the water is cool, and everyone loves spending time at the boat. No matter if you stay docked, boat to a remote out of the way picnic spot, or a romantic sundown cruise; you are going to need some food to fit the mood.
Here are some suggestions!
Picnic with the family
-Cold fried chicken and potato salad (A big hit!)
-Flat sandwich, here’s how:
The night before your picnic, take a nice loaf of Italian crusty bread, cut it in half, pull out most of the insides and fill it with different cheeses. Provolone, Cheddar, Munster (whatever fits your taste). Grab some cold cuts of your choice and layer them on. Then layer roasted red peppers, pickles, a light layer of olive tapenade and wrap it tightly with plastic wrap, TIGHT! Make some room in your fridge, place the plastic wrapped sandwich on a cookie sheet and place it in the fridge, weigh it down with something heavy. In the morning take it out, cut it into slices and place it in the cooler. YUM!
Lunch with the buddies
-Roast beef, horseradish, and sharp fancy cheddar sandwich, with lettuce and tomato of course!
-Deviled Eggs, they are every body’s favorite!
-Corn Salsa, Tortilla chips, and guacamole
Romantic sundown cruise
-Different types of hard and soft artesian cheeses (including a nice blue cheese), green olives, marcona almonds, dried apricots, a French baguette and a nice bottle of red wine or two.
